Sabrina Lemery is a ceramic artist living and working in Bethlehem CT. She attended Manchester Community College where she attained her Associate Degree in Visual Fine Arts, transferring after to the University of Hartford’s Hartford Art School where she attained her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics in 2016. Since graduating, Sabrina has worked and taught classes in ceramic studios around CT including Canton Clay Works, Wesleyan Potters, Simsbury Arts Academy and Post University. She has been trained and has worked with both wheel throwing and hand-building functional and sculptural work. Although now she focuses primarily on wheel-thrown functional pottery Sabrina finds that the sustained practice of alternative building methods is important for inspiration. Recently, Sabrina has launched her personal start up business, Soil and Clay, where she designs and creates custom ceramic wares for local floral designers and other small businesses. In addition to being a ceramic artist, Sabrina works as a flower farmer/florist and is passionate about sustainable agriculture, supporting small local businesses and building strong communities.
