Christmas Ornaments $50
Join us for a 2 ½ hour class where you can make 3-4 Christmas ornaments out of fused glass. Learn basic fused glass techniques including how to cut glass.
This is a great class for beginners!

4-piece coaster set using fused glass techniques. This is a great class for beginners to learn glass-cutting skills.

Intro to Glass Fusion Class
We are offering this class to anyone interested in
beginning glass fusion art.
The class will run for 5 weeks on Tuesday mornings from April 15th through May 6th from 9:30-12:00 noon.
Kim McGrath from Watertown, CT will be the instructor for this class. She has been working with fusedglass for the past 15 years and is extremely knowledgeable. Her pieces are in several galleries throughout CT and MA as well as an upcoming juried show at the Berkshire Arts Festival.

This green piece is a “bubble” piece done by a beginner student… it was made by trapping air within the cut pieces of glass. It will be cut down to eliminate the bubbles around the edge that did not fully form. This piece will become part of a larger plate or bowl as well as some smaller pieces of art or jewelry! Fun!
The fee for this class is $160 plus $35 for materials. There will be a $10 discount to any student who registers before March 24, 2014.
Adult Beginner Pottery Class, Hands on the Wheel, Evening Class

If you have 5-6 people that would like to take a class together, we can schedule a class for you and your friends. Please inquire!
We are currently running an evening beginner pottery class for members of the Litchfield Hills Church, with hands on the wheel, which will run for 5 weeks from Monday March 24, 2014 through Monday April 21, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.. The class will be taught by Linda White, who has 11 years of experience teaching pottery to children and adults..
Classes will be Mondays 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. with a cost of $160 which includes all necessary materials and an additional four hours of studio time. We will be teaching the basics of throwing pottery on the potter’s wheel, glazing, and firing. The final class will be held on Monday evening April 21, 2014 and will be an hour to share our thoughts and experiences and pick up our fired pieces.

Ongoing Art Classes
Drawing skills, Pastels, Painting with Ray White.
We are currently offering art classes by Ray White on Saturday mornings from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. and is for students age 8-18. The classes are on-going every Saturday at our studio. The fee for this class is $20/hour and includes all materials.
Ray is also at the studio from 4-7:00 pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Please call to set up a time if you’d like to take an adult or child class with Ray.

Ray White Biography
Ray is the owner and founder of Artworks Art Center and has been teaching for more than 18 years in: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, drawing, pottery, stone-work, and welding and fabrication or metal sculpture. To learn more about Ray’s current work, check out his facebook page Eagles watching over you. Since being immersed in art and history from an early age and studying with renowned, award winning artist Lois Hamel and Jack White, it was not surprising that Ray became a combat illustrator for the US Air Force and is currently 1 of only 150 eminent artists charged with documenting historical events involving air and space, through the US Air Force Art Program. To date, Ray has had 12 paintings selected for inclusion in the national collection. His last 2 submissions were of Connecticut’s last contribution by the 103rd Fighter Squad from East Granby to the war in Iraq.
Are you interested in art lessons in small group sessions,
learning either pottery or pastels?
This is an excellent opportunity to be introduced to these mediums in a fun and exciting environment! Each student can choose to do pottery on the wheel or to do pastel work. We will have different teachers available for the medium you choose to work with. The class will run for 2 hours on 2 Saturdays
for a total of four hours of instruction.
The fee is $60 per person and includes all materials.
If you’d like to learn the art of pastels, we will be offering classes for students to learn pastels from a nationally acclaimed pastel artist, Ray White.
Linda White will be offering the pottery classes where she will teach
the art of throwing pots on a potter’s wheel. Each student will throw some pieces and also learn about firing and glazing their pieces.
