Artists & Suppliers
First American Traders have been in the Native American Jewelry business since 1974, and, over the last 30 years, they have grown from a small house on an unknown street with a few pieces of Indian art into an 18,000 square foot store on famous Route 66 in Gallup, New Mexico.
Since 1974, their Native American artists have perfected their handcrafted jewelry, pottery, and crafts and continue to pass on their secrets and skills to new generations. Come see our collection at the Gallery.

Story Pots by Lydia Grey
| "I am a self-taught potter and whatever I do seems to take a great deal of time. The pots you see on this website are the result of a lot of trial and error. My ideas come from feelings, myths, stories and dreams. The school of life has been my greatest university and the greatest teachers are my daughters, friends and nature. Seeing that “we are all made from the ashes of cosmic explosions”, I feel amazed to be alive and conscious in what is still a beautiful world " |
